Welcome to the Kambah Pony Club website.

The joys of learning how to ride are not only one of life's little luxuries but a way of life.

The early stages of learning how to ride are critical for the future development of both rider and pony. Confidence, and trust between the two is built up over a period of time.  However, it can disappear as quickly as a sugar cube in water if a young rider is in an environment where they feel they are not supported.

At Kambah Pony Club, we focus on the education of the young rider in a friendly, supportive environment, and cater to the varying abilities and needs of all our members.

Rally Day April 2012

We held our Rally day on Easter Monday and I was surprised how many were able to attend.

The weather was perfect and the riders were having a blast. I think it was a great way to wear off some of the extra Easter eggs everyone had eaten the day before.

We had a few Easter games, such as Easter egg and spoon race and the classic - grab the hot cross bun in your mouth and ride like you have never ridden before. :)

All in all a great day out as the instructors put the riders through their paces.

Rally Day Feb 2012

What a rally day we had in Feb.

The team of hard working volunteers not only did an outstanding job on the day to ensure the day run smoothly but also assisted in the cleaning and the trimming of the weeds around the yards/fences to make the place look like a place we are all proud of.

The day started with an outstanding design for our jump course and the members having gear check. I must say as I was out setting up the jumps I could see all the member champing at the bit wanting to get out and about over the course.

It was also great to celebrate a birthday at the club and let everyone get involved with singing the traditional happy birthday.

From this month I have added an extra feature for the members, they can now down load a copy of the images, along with getting their image printed through out professional photo lab with 50% of all profits going back into the club.

So what are you waiting for, go check out the photos.... :)

Rally Day Jan 2012

What a rally day.

The day was filled with blood sweat and tears...

Ok maybe not so many tears and no blood, but there was a lot of sweat.

It was a really warm day that brought a good turn out. The Canberra Show team had a chance to be put through their paces while others had some jumping practice and some new little members had a great time with some of the Dads of Pony club.

The club also had some people from the cross country team come and talk about their sport and demonstrate how you can check the fitness of your horse during a cross country event.

I hope all had a great day and I can't wait until out next adventure.

Saturday 21st
Sign-up from 1 till 3pm.
Bring your children as we are hoping to keep them busy painting jump poles while the adults do paperwork etc…
(also feel free to bring any maintenance/cleaning equipment you have. The grounds could always do with some work/tidying done)

If you are planning to attend the rally day on Sunday, bring your pony as well so that he/she can have a sleep over (and so that you don’t have to get up as early on the rally day).

Sunday 22nd

December Rally day

The December rally day was a bit of a wash out in more ways than one. The weather gods didnt look at us in a posibtive light and opened up the heavens to give us a spot of rain and so the day was made a no horse day.

When it did stop the sun came out and gave the members the opportunity to have water fights and I was there to capture the moments.

We also had a special visitor from Santa.

Check out the photos are they are a hoot.
